    Delegation from Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation Visits WUST

    WUST News (Reporter: Qin Yu) On the morning of May 14, a delegation led by Ho Chin Kuan, President of Malaysia's Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) visited the Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) to discuss ways to deepen international educational collaboration. Ma Teng, Vice President of the WUST and Member of the University Party Committee Standing Committee, attended the symposium and delivered a speech.

    Ma Teng extended a warm welcome to the delegation for their visit ahead of the World Digital Education Conference. He recalled the warm reception he received during his visit to Malaysia last year and commended APU's achievements in internationalized education and the development of cutting-edge disciplines. He emphasized, "We hope to leverage this exchange to establish long-term cooperation mechanisms in degree programs, joint curriculum development, talent cultivation, and academic research, fostering high-quality international innovation projects and advancing the global development of education."

    President Ho Chin Kuan expressed his gratitude for the WUST's hospitality and praised the university's remarkable accomplishments in scientific research innovation and entrepreneurship education. "APU's strengths in AI, cyber-security, and fintech align closely with WUST's educational philosophy of 'practical orientation and innovation-driven cultivation,'" he noted. Ho proposed deeper collaboration in international competitions and academic exchanges to achieve complementary advantages and mutual benefits.

    During the symposium, Li Yin, Executive Dean of the WUST's School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, introduced the WUST's innovation and entrepreneurship education system in detail. Luo Yuanping, Director of the Office of International Relations, engaged in in-depth discussions with the Malaysian delegation regarding joint international student cultivation and language proficiency enhancement. Two award-winning projects from the China International College Students' Innovation Competition were showcased during the event.

    Prior to the meeting, the delegation conducted an inspection tour of the WUST's School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The delegation included Nina Qin Xueling, APU's China Regional Director, and Huang Zhifeng, Chief Representative of APU's China Office. Heads of relevant WUST departments also participated in the event.
