WUST News On November 21, Chancellor David Mba and a delegation of five-member from Birmingham City University, UK, visited WUST. The meeting with President Ni Hongwei and Vice President Lv Yong was held at the Huangjiahu Campus, where both parties had in in-depth discussions on deepening cooperation and advancing talent cultivation. The meeting was chaired by Luo Yuanping, Director of the Office of International Relations.
President Ni warmly welcomed the delegation and praised the decade-long successful collaboration in the Network Engineering program. He expressed his desire to deepen collaboration in other areas to enhance the internationalization and influence of both institutions.
Chancellor Mba thanked the WUST for its hospitality and outlined Birmingham City University's efforts to expand international partnerships, expressing the hope that this visit would lead to new progress in bilateral cooperation.
Zhang Kai, Dean of the School of Computer Science and Technology, introduced the operation and academic achievements of the Sino-foreign cooperative undergraduate program in the Network Engineering program.
After the talk, six students from the Network Engineering program showcased the School's specialized labs, including the Cloud Networking Lab, the Information Creation Lab, the Embedded Lab, and six others focusing on 5G and the Industrial Internet. Chancellor Mba was very impressed with the excellent laboratory facilities, and praised the comprehensive skills of the students in the Network Engineering program.
Officials from the Party and Government Office, the Undergraduate College, and the School of Computer Science and Technology also took part in the discussions.

Vice Dean Zhu Ziqi of the School of Computer Science and Technology encouraged the students to set high goals, enhance their professional skills, broaden their international perspectives, and look forward to a future of limitless opportunities.
During their visit, Chancellor Mba and his delegation also attended the opening ceremony of the WUST's 10th "Qinhu Fish Banquet" and participated in related activities. (Office of International Relations).
