Recently, the Ministry of Education announced the approval results of the Sino-foreign education programs submitted by nationwide universities in the first half of 2022. The undergraduate program of public art jointly run by Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) and Accademia di belle arti DI FOGGIA (ADBADF)was approved by the approval document numbered MOE42IT2A20222320N.According to the approval results announced by the Ministry of Education, a total of 22 Sino-foreign education programs at the undergraduate or high levels were approved in the first half of 2022. The program jointly run by WUST and ADBADF is the only approved program in Hubei Province.

Driven by the national requirements for building "first-class universities and disciplines of the world", WUST has actively cooperated with ADBAF, the origin of the Renaissance, to introduce premium education resources, carry out high-level collaboration, and develop high-caliber talents in technologies and art by means of discipline integration. From 2023 to 2027, the program will admit 80 students through the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE) each year. With 4 years of full-time schooling, students may complete all the courses in WUST, or study at ADBAF for a period of time and obtain degrees from both universities.

WUST started to run international education programs in the 1990s, and has since initiated the Sino-Australia Iron and Steel Industry Training Center, the Sino-Germany language training program, the Sino-Australia business program, the Sino-Canada computer management program, the Sino-Singapore logistics management program, and other specialized cooperative education programs. With the continuous improvement of our school-running capability, our undergraduate program of electronic information engineering in cooperation with the University of Bridgeport USA was approved in 2012; our undergraduate program of mechanical engineering in cooperation with the Deakin University Australia was approved in 2013; our undergraduate program of network engineering in cooperation with the Birmingham City University UK was approved in 2014; our postgraduate program of computer science and technology in cooperation with the Vrije University Amsterdam was approved in 2020. The undergraduate program of public art with ADBAF is the fifth Sino-foreign education program of our school and is also the first Sino-foreign education program in liberal art, marking another milestone of WUST's education internalization.
