The university is committed to serving as a “logistics coordinator” for talent and a “partner” in career development, implementing special support mechanisms such as the Xiangtao Scholars Program and a “green channel” for professional title reviews to fully support the growth of young talents. He sincerely invited outstanding young scholars from around the world to join WUST, integrate their personal aspirations into the national development tide, and jointly write a new chapter for the century-old institution.

In his speech, President LV Yong expressed confidence that WUST can serve as an ideal platform for young talents to realize their ambitions. From historical, practical, and contemporary perspectives, he introduced the university’s 127-year heritage and its strong momentum in striving for “Double First-Class” initiative. He pledged that WUST would provide top-notch disciplinary platforms, growth systems, academic ecosystems, and service guarantees, including “personalized support at the starting point”, “multi-dimensional development support”, and “full-process escort service support” to uphold the dreams of every young scholar with the utmost sincerity.

Representatives from talent recruitment units, including the School of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Management, School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, School of Metallurgy and Energy, and School of Resources and Environmental Engineering, introduced their respective disciplinary developments. Under the theme “A New Chapter of Gathering Talents, A Defining Moment for Pursuing Excellence”, the forum aimed to pool talents to advance the “Double First-Class” initiative. It attracted over 800 young scholars from more than 20 countries and regions. The forum was dedicated to building an academic exchange platform for global young talents, providing a stage for showcasing academic achievements, and serving as a grand event promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
