    WUST Signs Technological Cooperation Agreement with Russia’s Bardin Central Research Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy

    WUST News - On the afternoon of November 10, Wuhan University of Science and Technology (WUST) signed a technological cooperation agreement with the Bardin Central Research Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy of the Russian Federation. The signing ceremony was attended by WUST President Lv Yong, Vice President Ma Teng, Professor Irina Rodionova, Director of International Cooperation Shevakin Olga, and other representatives from both sides.

    President Lv Yong extended a warm welcome to the Russian delegation and highlighted WUST's recent achievements in discipline development, talent cultivation, and technological innovation. He emphasized that the Bardin Central Research Institute for Ferrous Metallurgy is widely recognized as an authoritative research organization in the global ferrous metallurgy sector and expressed confidence that this collaboration would leverage the strengths of both sides to produce higher-level, landmark achievements.

    Professor Irina Rodionova reflected on the productive partnership between the two institutions since 2014, noting that WUST is a highly trustworthy partner and that their cooperation has continued to strengthen over time. She stated that the signing of the new agreement sets the stage for cooperation at a "higher starting point" and expressed expectations for even more substantial results in scientific research and industrial applications in the new phase of cooperation.

    In the presence of attendees, Wu Kaiming, Executive Deputy Director of WUSTs Collaborative Innovation Center for High-Performance Steel Materials and Application, and Professor Irina Rodionova signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. The agreement establishes a long-term partnership dedicated to deep technological cooperation in the fields of innovative product, technology application, and related fields.

    The ceremony was also attended by officials from WUST’s Office of International Relations, Office of Research and Development, and other relevant departments.
