WUST News - Recently, Mao Xinping, an alumnus from the 1986 class of Metal Pressure Processing and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, was invited to inscribe a dedication for the 50th anniversary of the Journal of Wuhan University of Science and Technology. His inscription, "Create an Academic Ark, Promote Academic Exchange", encourages the journal to play a greater role in knowledge dissemination and innovation leadership, providing momentum for the construction of the academic community.

 The Journal of Wuhan University of Science and Technology was founded in 1975, focusing on key disciplines such as materials science, metallurgical engineering, and intelligent manufacturing. In recent years, the journal has established special columns like "Green Functional Refractory Materials" and "Resource Utilization of Bulk Industrial Solid Waste" to deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research, becoming an important platform for academic exchange in related fields.

To commemorate its 50th anniversary, the journal's editorial department has launched a series of commemorative activities, including inviting academicians and experts to inscribe dedications, collecting congratulatory messages from peer universities and research institutions, organizing farewell messages from retired editors, and planning the publication of special issues, selecting outstanding young editorial board members, and preparing high-level academic forums. These initiatives aim to further enhance the journal's openness and promote the sharing of global academic resources.

The head of the editorial department expressed that Academician Mao Xinping's inscription provides direction for the journal's development. In the future, the journal will focus on its positioning as an academic ark, accelerate digital transformation, optimize the online submission and review system, expand international dissemination channels, and continuously improve the quality and impact of the journal, fulfilling its mission to promote academic exchange.
