    Signing of a strategic cooperation framework agreement with PolyU

    WUST News: On the morning of November 16, the 23rd Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China opened at the Donghu International Convention Center in Wuhan. During the opening ceremony, Vice President Ma Teng of WUST and Vice President Zhao Ruheng of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on behalf of the two universities.

    "We will introduce some of our research strengths to Hubei, assisting to transfer basic research into tangible scientific projects, and create a win-win situation," said Zhao Ruheng. Ma Teng stated, "Both parties have complementary strengths and expertise, especially in serving the five dominant industries in Hubei Province, which is of great significance."

    The signing of this agreement aims to deepen educational cooperation between Hubei and Hong Kong, bringing together a world-class university and a provincial-level university. Following the principles of openness, inclusiveness, co-construction, and sharing, the collaboration will be based on mutual cooperation, common development, active communication, and mutual benefits. It will fully leverage the advantages of research resources, talent teams, and other aspects to jointly cultivate high-level talents, strengthen scientific research cooperation, and promote technology transfer. It will achieve win-win development in various areas such as collaborative education, technological innovation, result commercialization, faculty team, and cultural exchange. The cooperation will facilitate bilateral exchanges in education, technology, and talent between Hong Kong and Hubei, and focus on collaboration in areas such as health industry, optoelectronics, new energy and materials, and smart cities.
